Dear Parent or Guardian,
I am would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as your child’s new math teacher. For year it has been a dream of mine to teach secondary education and I want you to know how proud I am to be in this position. I have a true passion for my subject and hope to instill the same interest in my students.
During this school year we will study many different aspect of mathematics. My goal is not simply for students to memorize concepts and facts. The goal is to show them how math relates to their individual lives and to make them better problem solvers. It is my belief the more students can relate to a subject the better they will do in it.
I have provided additional course information inside this welcome packet. I also have created a website to keep you up to date on what we are doing inside the classroom. Parents can see the current topics we are working on, the assignments given and due each week, upcoming test dates, and extra help hours. It is my hope that parents and students take opportunity of this website.
